On March 21-22, our Project Directors presented at a conference held at Arizona State University where questions were addressed concerning the relationship between religion, spirituality, and mental health. The conference was sponsored by The Council of Religious Associations (CORA) and the Institute of Religion of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Dr. Scott Richards, Dr. Jason McBride, Dr. Peter Sanders and Dr. Kawika Allen sat on a panel with Dr. Everett Worthington to discuss their research on spiritually integrated psychotherapy. In addition, Dr. Daniel Judd, the Dean of Religious Education at Brigham Young University, gave a devotional address, “Spiritual Healing Through the Atonement of Jesus Christ.”
